Fiberglass Cloth for Epoxy Floor

-Principle: The concrete base itself is prone to cracking due to factors such as temperature changes, humidity changes, and foundation settlement. Fiberglass cloth is like a tough "net" laid between the base layer and the epoxy floor coating. When cracks appear on the base layer and have a tendency to expand, the fibers of the fiberglass cloth can use their own tensile properties to cross the cracks and withstand the tensile force at the crack, preventing the cracks from further extending and penetrating the epoxy floor coating, and controlling the impact of the cracks within a small range.

-Principle: The surface of the concrete base layer often has some small pores, unevenness, etc., which can affect the bonding effect between the epoxy floor coating and the base layer. Fiberglass cloth has a certain roughness and a large specific surface area. After being laid on the base layer, its fibers can be embedded in the pores of the base layer. At the same time, epoxy floor coating can penetrate well into the fiber gaps of the fiberglass cloth during construction. When the coating solidifies, a strong mechanical bond is formed, greatly enhancing the adhesion between the epoxy floor coating and the base layer, effectively preventing problems such as peeling and falling off of the floor coating.
